This prototype universal remote control does it all and in a cool fashion. The receiver runs on battery, so no funky wires to deal with, and there is a free iPhone app that lets you control your media center!

Setting it up is really easy; users pick their device, and test a series of code cycles to see if the device responds. There is also a TV guide and Netflix integration, making it easy to watch shows and movies directly from the iPhone app.

Finally, your settings can be saved and downloaded to use with as many devices as you want.

This universal remote definitely outdoes its competitors. According to the press release, it will be available for $79.99 starting in May 2011.
