There are even more phones that are being unveiled at CES 2011 that will run Android: HTC Thunderbolt, LG Optimus 2X, Sony Xperia Arc, etc…Clearly, Android dominates a massive portion of the smartphone market.



So what makes Android so good? Well it’s part of Google, which has some of the best products yet. With the minds they have there, and the casual workspace they have, it is a perfect recipe for great products. They are the number 1 used search engine; they are one of the most widely used email providers, and now they are the most widely used cell phone OS.

Android provides great security with a wide amount of encryption tools. Also, because it is a branch of Google, it comes with the full suite of Google Apps, popular ones being Gmail, Google Docs, and Google Calender. It is also an extremely flexible OS, making it capable of being put into a variety of phones. The interface is very sleek and modern looking, and that is exactly what cell phone companies and consumers alike are looking for nowadays.
