Sony just revealed that this year, in a few months, they will be selling their new Xperia Arc smartphone powered by Android’s Gingerbread OS. It claims the new title of world’s slimmest phone at just 8.7mm thick, taking the position away from the LG Optimus Black.
Despite its small size, it packs a lot of power in it. It has a 4.2 inch reality display with 854X480, which they claim to make it look brighter and clearer. Also, it has an 8.1 MP camera on the back but no front-facing camera. (Who uses those anyways?) The Exmor R mobile sensor allows for clear HD pictures and video even in low-light.
I can’t wait for this phone to finally be released. So far this phone sounds fantastic. Let’s just hope that Sony can meet the expectations of its now hungry-for-more customers.
