At this year’s CES, after tablets, 3D is the most prominent technology displayed. From huge 3D TVs to 3D photo frames, it is literally everywhere.
However, the hype for 3D this year is not as much as last year. People have gotten over the technology of 3D, and seem to move on. 3D TVs are always crazy expensive, due in part that they are always big TVs. Personally, HDTVs are fine for me. The quality is amazing on some of the newer models, and I don’t want to have to pay thousands more for 3D.
I’d only be willing to buy one when they get a working set that doesn’t require 3D glasses to watch. There are some prototypes out there, but no definites.
And 3D photo frames? I’m really doubting they’re going to be the next big thing. I think I’ll stick to my HD photo frame.
