To say that Apple’s App Store has been a huge success would be an understatement. At the end of September 2009,2 billion apps had been downloaded from the store. In January 2010 the number was 3 billion. At the beginning of this month, Apple opened a Mac App Store which has a total of about 1,000 free and paid apps for Mac computers. However, in the iPhone app store, there are well over 300,000 apps!
