It’s finally here! Apple has just released a beta version of iOS 4.3, the newest operating system update for iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad! However, it is only available for developers.

There are several new features including the personal hotspot (which I wrote about before), multi-touch gestures for iPad, and customizable messaging alerts. Also, the button to lock your iPad, iPod touch, or iPhone can now be customized with iOS 4.3.

Also, users now have the option to play their text and MMS message alerts once, twice, three, five, or ten times, which gives them more control over how they are informed. Developers can also use the new AVFoundation APIs for HTTP Live Streaming Statistics. This allows them to track information about their content, like how many people are watching their videos, how long they are watching them, and how well the ads in the videos are doing.

The only two products that are not compatible with the new iOS 4.3 are the second-generation iPod Touch and the iPhone 3G.

Please comment below with what you think about this! Do you like the new operating system, and are you looking forward to it coming out in a stable release?
